Covid-19 has brought unprecedented changes to communities around the world. It has had a tremendous impact on humankind in every possible way. During the pandemic, the academic arena has faced new challenges, in education, research and development. Archaeological studies are intricately interwoven into anthropological worldviews. In this panel, we will highlight world archaeological practices during the Covid -19 period and analyse how we have reshaped our disciplinary discourse and practices in response to the pandemic.

To understand this, we will address the following objectives:
- How has the pandemic impacted archaeological academia during the pandemic and now?
- What challenges have surrounded archaeological studies and associated practices due to the pandemic?
- How might we overcome such challenges in the times to come?
- What are the new methodologies that can be incorporated into archaeological research in the upcoming future?
To address the above objectives, we invite papers across the world to contribute to a framework which includes the following, inter-related sub-themes:
- Archaeological anthropology: significance, emerging trends and future challenges.
- Archaeology in the anthropological academia: Coping during the pandemic.
- Cultural heritage management during covid-19 - Lessons in global archaeology from socio-economic and ecological dimensions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- New methods and methodologies developed in response to the pandemic: Usage of digital media and technologies for research in archaeology.
- Women archaeologists: Confrontations.
- Indigenous and community archaeological practices, ethnoarchaeological research: Limitations and Challenges.
- Managing Covid-19 : Insights from archaeology.
- Climate change and archaeological research.
