Long Abstract :

Join Danilyn Rutherford, the President of the Wenner-Gren Foundation, and Donna Auston, the Foundation Anthropologist for Disciplinary Conversations and Public Outreach for a listening session.

The mission of the Wenner-Gren Foundation is to support anthropology worldwide.  Our strategic priorities include advancing anthropological knowledge, amplifying the impact of anthropology, addressing the precarity of anthropology and anthropologists, and fostering an inclusive vision of the field. In recent years, we’ve been providing a platform for conversations that reckon with the past and suggest possible ways forward at this moment of danger and opportunity for the discipline and the world.

We know we can do better, when it comes to supporting anthropologists outside of Europe and North America.  Join us for a discussion of the Foundation’s past and share your thoughts on ways we can support anthropology and anthropologists as we work together to envision a better future for the field and everyone affected by our work.

There will be plenty of time for questions.?
