:

In order to comprehend and combat the pandemic to the best of our ability, sociocultural forces must be recognised given the complicated societal spread of COVID-19 in India. Public health reactions are societal phenomena that have an impact on the results of interventions. In terms of scope and socioeconomic complexity, the global COVID 19 epidemic has brought about a tragedy. Politics, inter-agency friction, and public challenges to science, authority, and legitimacy have all been factors in the pandemic responses. There is still a great deal of uncertainty over numerous policies. People creatively deploy culturally inherited ideas and images to explain instances of human adversity – whether an individual bout of mental or bodily distress, a community-wide outbreak of disease, or a global-scale health disaster. There are several factors which are attributable to the cause and consequences of the epidemics. Traveling lead to faster spread of infection. Some cultural practices like greeting Namaste, washing hands and feet before entering house prevented spread of disease. Food habits, lifestyle  affected COVID-19 cases and their outcome. .  Public health reactions are societal phenomena that have an impact on the results of interventions. Therefore it is need of time to learn from the observations of factors impacting COVID-19 pandemic so that learning can be applied in future outbreaks and preventing and controlling them better to prevent humanity from pandemic.
