Short Abstract
:
This paper deals with traditional knowledge system of the kamar PVTG (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group) about their ecology and ecological conditions. Living so closely with nature they have developed an immense understanding with their universe. Their knowledge about their climatic conditions, philosophy, ethno- forestry, agro- ecology and related epistemology can help in solving global warming issues.
Long Abstract
:

The fieldwork was conducted among Kamar PVTG of Dhamtari and Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. Kamar PVTG knowledge system about their ecological conditions, environment , eco- cosmology, ethno- forestry, sustainable way of food production is the valuable resource. A young kamar irrespective of their gender learn about their traditional knowledge system. Forest helps them for their survival and also provides them economy. They perform different rituals to please the nature , to conserve the species of their biodiversity and related epistemological belief is important in the present discourse. The objective of this paper is to highlight major key points of the Kamar PVTG traditional knowledge base, how they have developed an understanding towards their ecology, cosmology, agro- ecology, philosophy through their belief system. Which can be very helpful in solving climate issues and global warming challenges.
