COVID-19 has transformed the official expected response to the crisis. This research paper portrays the problem faced by the general public and toiling masses alike in especially metropolitan regions in India. It highlights the inability of government agencies to provide the desired response to the emerging crisis created by COVID-19. It underscores how the people at large have managed to overcome the crisis within the limited resources available at their disposal to overcome the situation. But, in doing so some created newer and innovative means to fend for themselves and survived the onslaught of the servility of the pandemic.
The research paper is based on primary data and secondary data (information published in print media during the COVID-19 spread in India). it attempts to comprehend the process of constriction imposed on the normal leisure activities of people and thereby providing a jet view of the changes taking place in individual behaviour, language, cognitive sphere, family life and the like.
