The global pandemic has changed the dimensions of food consumption patterns and eating behavior of individuals. The rise of Covid-19 and its associated consequences has raised the awareness to alter the dietary pattern of residents to fight against diseases. The nutritional transition has been observed due to change in food practices of individuals residing in Una district, Himachal Pradesh. The residents are adapting traditional food products and locally available nutritious food to resist the detrimental effect of Covid-19. The social forces like globalization, modernization and dietary acculturation has also played a major role in shaping food habits of residents. The present study emphasis upon the collection of indigenous knowledge of traditional food practices and its relationship with the changing trends of food consumption due to major forces acting on it. The association with the impact of Covid-19 on the altered food habits is also observed to analyze the changing trends of consumption.
