The neoliberal process formally started in India in 1991. It has been more than three decades since the neoliberal process was implemented in India. The impact of this model of development can now be clearly seen in every sector of the Indian society. This process of development has affected different sections of the society in different ways. This model of development has attracted the emerging middle class in India the most, since the 80s. Because middle class is the ideal consumer for the market. so there This process has given rise to all kinds of dilemmas for the marginalized people in the Indian society. After 1990, increasing agrarian crisis in rural India, increasing inflation, privatization of education and health services, lack of employment have further worsened the problems faced by the lower middle class and deprived communities of India.
Neoliberalism has also affected different sections of women divided into classes and castes in different ways. While on the one hand, a small section of women have got respectable employment since 1990, due to which the emergence of a new middle class among women can be seen. this middle class is very aware of their rights. In particular, he thinks about questions of his sexuality and mobility in a very modern way. The expansion of the informal sector since the 1990s has forced large sections of women to work in extremely precarious conditions. There is a complete lack of working hours, social security, leave, maternity leave, etc in this informal sector. These women have to do domestic work as well as outside work.
