ABSTRACT
The Yogini cult, which originated in India, is a tradition that is characterized by the worship of female deities known as Yoginis. These deities are associated with various aspects of life, including fertility, death, and sexuality. The cult is also closely tied to the concept of sacred geography, as the Yoginis are believed to inhabit specific locations in the natural world. This research paper aims to explore the sacred geography of the Yogini cult in India, including the ways in which specific locations and natural features are associated with the Yoginis and their cult practices. The paper will also examine the role of the Yogini cult in shaping the cultural and religious landscape of India, and will consider the ways in which these practices have changed and evolved over time. By studying the sacred geography of the Yogini cult, this paper will provide insight into the complex and multifaceted nature of religion and culture in India.
