Short Abstract

Women spend up to one third of their life in the post-menopausal phase as the life expectancy has Improved. This phase is characterized by lower sex steroids and higher disease susceptibility. With the Overall aim of understanding the menopausal syndrome and improving the quality of post-menopausal Life. The present study was undertaken and relationship of menopause and co-existing disease conditions with certain physiological parameters like body fat distribution, fat percentage, BMI,WHR, cholesterol etc. was explored on Punjabi females between age group of 40-55 years.
