Call for Book Launch
19th IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Congress proposes to organize events for the launching of books, edited volumes and journals published after the last World Anthropology Congress held in Brazil in 2018.
Launching events will take place during the World Anthropology Congress between 15 October and 19 October 2023 at the designated venue.
Who can propose Book Launch?
Any author(s) registered in the 19th IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Congress 2023.
How to submit the proposal for Book Launch events?
The author may click on the ‘Book Launch Form’ and provide the desired information.
Once the book launch proposal is accepted, a link will be provided for paying the registration fee of 50 USD. The registration fee includes one table and two chairs for the author(s)/ publisher. Registration fees can be paid by the author or the publisher.
Criteria for Selection
If the number of applicants is larger than the space available, the following selection criteria will be deployed:
- Affinity with the Congress’ themes.
- Authors’ membership/affiliation in: IUAES, WCAA, IAA, EFCS, IGNOU, University of Hyderabad, University of Delhi.
Sale of Publications
Sales are the sole responsibility of the authors or whoever is responsible for launching items. We recommend at least 20% discount to registered delegates and participants.
Further responsibilities of authors organising launching events
Author(s) should donate 2 copies of their publication, which will be directed to the University of Delhi’s libraries. Book donations should be handed off to organizers before the launching event. A receipt will be issued to this effect. Transportation of books is the sole responsibility of authors or publishers.
Authors or exhibitors should arrive at the launch site one hour before the event and contact the volunteers on the designated site. The number of copies brought to the launching event depends on the author or publisher’s expectations.
